Welcome to my story

Read this!

Hi, my name is, for the time being, Leather Tramp. If you are usnure of what that means, a leather tramp is a person who hitchhikes or walks around, never truly staying in one place. Although I have yet to begin my journey, I do have ideas of where I'd like to go and how I plan to get there. That's what this website is for. I plan to document my travels throughout the United States (and maybe other countries) in a sort of blog.

You might be curious why I decided to do this, to leave all of my values and material poseesions behind and live as essentially a hobo. Well that's a long story and to tell it all on this page alone wouldn't be be feasible. Mostly, it boils down to simply being tired of society, stepping outside and seeing the same flat grey color everywhere you go, it's mind numbing. So, I decided I was going to leave, even if it meant I might not see or hear from the people I care about again.

It may seem selfish, but these people know what I'm doing. I'm not trying to go missing. I'm just trying to leave behind the society I've been raised in. I don't blame anyone for this decision really, and I don't want anyone I know to blame themselves. I'm not making myself unreachable, I'm just distancing myself from the lack of community and freedom that the modern world has brought.

I know this might make me sound like some kind of anarchist, "Take down the man!" sort of person, but I'm not really like that at all. I think that the way things are now are perfectly fine for a majority of people and I'm glad that they can be happy in this environment, but for me, I just can't. When you see the same thing everyday for so many years it gets tiring, especially when you're doing it alone, which most everyone is these days. I know that it'll be rough, especially in the beginning, but when I get to where I'm going I think things'll settke down pretty comfortable for a while. Who knows, maybe I will come back one day, once I've found peace out there.
